Auto Responders

Reply automatically to messages that match a trigger.

An auto responder answers a message that matches its trigger, with no command and no prefix.

Open it from the dashboard: Messaging › Auto Responders.

Trigger Type decides how the Trigger is matched:

Type Matches when
Keyword The word appears as a whole word in the message
Phrase The text appears anywhere in the message
Exact Match The message is exactly the trigger text
Wildcard The text matches, with * standing for any text
Attachment The message has a file, even with no text

Separate several words or phrases with a comma or a new line. For Attachment, list * for any file, or image, video, audio, or extensions like pdf and mp4.

Response Message is a full message: text, embeds and buttons. An auto responder can hold several messages: turn on Randomize Responses and Koya picks one at random each time.

Besides the user and server variables, the response accepts variables such as {user.displayname}, {user.random}, {channel.name}, {server.membercount} and {repliedUser}. The editor lists all of them.

Reactions adds up to 3 reactions to the triggering message.

  • Disable Mentions: the response pings no user, role or @everyone.
  • Delete After: deletes the response after a duration, 5 minutes at most (10s, 1m, 5m).
  • Delete Trigger Message: deletes the message that triggered the auto responder.
  • Allow Bots: lets bots and webhooks trigger it. Off by default.
  • Allow System Messages: lets server system messages (welcome, boost, pin) trigger it. Off by default.

Allowed Channels and Ignored Channels, Allowed Roles and Ignored Roles limit where and for whom the auto responder fires.

User Cooldown applies per member, Guild Cooldown is shared by the whole server. Both default to 0s.
